"I have purchased several of these for the Fire Marshal's in my office. If hearing radio transmissions in noisy environments is critical to your operation then these earpieces work great. I do recommend that you get the 25" cord if you plan to have your radio on your belt or in a pants pocket so the cord is not stretched and pulling on the ear bud. We tried the shorter cord and exchanged them out without any questions and delivery has always been fast and accurate."

"Excellent product for the price. I ordered the receive only coil tube earpiece nearly one year ago and it is still working reliably. I have been in Law Enforcement for 27 years and this was my first time using a device of this kind. I am now in an airport environment and the earpiece has significantly helped with being able to monitor the radio traffic amongst the ambient noise, not to mention being able to receive critical information on a subject without them being able to hear it. Occasional maintenance is required with clearing condensation in the coil tube. I have found a can of air similar to the what is used on computer/electronics works best. Just a blast of air through the tube once or twice a month keeps the moisture from causing a problem."

"I ordered this headset because at our agency we have the simple large lapel mics. I did not want to wear one of those, as they are loud and offer no privacy.
To be honest, I was not sure what to think when I ordered this. I paid my own money for it and it did not come cheaply (considering you can get wired headsets for phones on Amazon for less than $5). I now believe this was a worthwhile purchase.
Looking at this headset, it seems to be made of good quality. The quick connect has quality pins and the screw rotates easily. The length is good. At 5'8" I can wear my radio on my belt on my left hip and route the cord to my right ear and then the mic under my right armpit and on to my shirt by my polo buttons. It is nice that each the earpiece and the mic have separate cords and a few sliders to keep the cord together.
The sound quality out of the ear piece is good. I opted for the situational awareness piece, and have not worn the regular one or the isolation adapters. The situational awareness does a great job allowing me to have conversations while still being able to hear when a call goes out. The main reason I bought this headset was so that the person I was conversing with could then not hear my dispatch information. The earpiece is loud, but nobody has ever said they could hear it, so mission accomplished.
The mic is pretty standard. It will pick up radio traffic making echo a concern. However, if I'm the only person in the room it has great sound quality, but no better or worse than the normal lapel mics that our agency has.
Waveband was a great company to order this from and it did come at the cheapest price around. It came quickly and the customer service was spot on and helpful.
When I need a new headset or other accessories for this one, I'll be happy to shop here again!"

We work a lot on the interstate and with this product you can hear the radio traffic. It is also helpful in a crowded place where you don't want other people hearing the radio traffic. "I love it! Not only is this earpiece safer but I can hear the radio traffic more clearly. I like how I can quickly pull the ear piece out of the mic if I am in the middle of a fight and go back to using my portable if it falls out of my ear. I like the earpiece and it is very comfortable. I am using the “noise cancelling” piece and it is a lot more comfortable then the traditional plastic piece. I think we should continue ordering from this company."

"Been using this microphone attachment for several months now and have been very impressed with it's performance.
My line of work is onsite Paramedic services and security.
I have tried other companies microphone adapters for the Motorola XPR 3500 and they have poor quality and seem to break easily (internally or externally) and the sound quality is very low with static.
What I notice with this Waveband microphone is that it is a hefty unit and feels solid. The size of the hand held mic is a perfect fit when I need to grab it to make a fast transmission as well as the push to talk button seems to be quite solid. The cord has great elasticity so it does not flop around my uniform and stays flush to my body, the microphone it self has seen rain, mud, heat/humidity, and has been dropped several times.
Along with the sturdiness of this unit, I've been thrilled to have a microphone that produces great sound clarity through the speaker. It sounds just as clear as the standalone XPR 3500 and with the microphone attached to my upper body, I can keep the volume lower and hear everything just fine. The microphone produces all of the usual audible programmed noises that the XPR 3500 does. Eg. Push to talk, low battery etc.
Overall very happy with this unit and I will be making some additional purchases for my co-workers"
